For over 100 years the
mission of the Family YMCA has remained a constant in
the Battle Creek community: "To put Christian principles
into practice through programs that build healthy spirit,
mind and body for all." The Family YMCA is the largest
Non-For-Profit community service organization in America. It
is committed to helping build strong kids, strong families
and strong communities. Family YMCAs serve more than 16 million
people each year, including 8 million children.
In an effort to carry out our mission, the Family YMCA
awards over $170,000 annually in subsidized memberships,
facility access, and program assistance. In addition, the
Family YMCA partners with over 50 local agencies and
organizations in an effort to
build strong kids, strong families, strong communities.
