and well being of everyone while using the Family Y Center.

Facility
Guidelines ~
The Family YMCA is dedicated to the benefit and the
welfare of all members. The following are guidelines
of a general nature that pertain to the facility. In
order to maintain a consistent, cooperative environment the
Family YMCA asks that all members adhere to the
following guidelines.
- Each
member must present their current YMCA membership card
to activate the gate for entrance into the facility.
All guests must register at the front desk prior to
entering the facility.
- Lost or
stolen cards must be reported to the front desk. A
$5 fee will be charged for replacement cards.
- ALL
children under the age of 13 must be directly supervised
at all times by someone at least 18 years of age.
- Members
and guests are expected to wear appropriate fitness and
recreation attire when using the facility. Shoes
(with non-marking soles) and shirts are required at all
times in all areas outside the locker rooms.

Smoking, chewing tobacco, alcoholic beverages, illegal
drugs and profanity are prohibited in all areas of the
facility and it's grounds. Food and beverages are
permitted in the front desk lobby area only. Water
is permitted throughout the facility in a plastic
container.
- all
lost items found in the facility will be held for an
extended period of time before being donated to charity
and/or disposed of. The Family YMCAis not
responsible for securing such items.
Locker Rooms
- Please secure all personal items in a locker with a
lock. The Family YMCA is not responsible for
lost or stolen items. Lockers are
available for rent at the front desk.
- All lockers labeled for "daily use" must be emptied
after each use. If any lock is left overnight,
staff will remove the lock and empty locker contents.
- Caution should be exercised in this area to
guarantee against slipping on wet floors.
- Please respect other's property and turn in all lost
items to Front Desk.
- All lost items or contents found in expired locker
rentals will be held for an extended period of time
before being donated to charity and/or being disposed
of.
- Inappropriate behavior (running and any other form
of "horse play") in this area is prohibited.
- Please no food or drink is allowed in this area with
the exception of water in a plastic water bottle.
Aquatic Areas
- Children under the age of 6 must have an adult 18
years or older in the water with them. Children
under the age of 13 must be signed in by a parent, and
the parent must remain in the building.
- Swimming is permitted only when a lifeguard is on
duty.
- No shoes on the pool deck except water shoes that
are only worn in the pool area.
- No eating, drinking, or chewing gum in pool area.
- Running on the deck, horseplay in and out of the
water, and diving in less than 9 feet of water is
prohibited.
- Band aids, disposable diapers, and glass bottles are
prohibited in the pool area.
- All flotation devices must be pre-approved with a
lifeguard and parents must stay within reach of the
child in flotation at all times.
- Lap lanes are for lap swimmers only.
- No spins, flips, or back dives in the pool.
Health Enhancement Center
- Members age 13+ are permitted to workout in all
areas of the HEC.
- Equipment orientations are recommended for all
members before utilizing the fitness equipment.
- All bags and coats must be secured in a locker and
are not permitted in the HEC.
- Athletic shoes and clothing are required in the HEC.
Street shoes, sandals, boots, and jeans are not
permitted. A shirt must be worn at all times.
- Food, drink, candy, or gum are not allowed in this
area with the exception of water in a plastic bottle.
- Offensive language and inappropriate behavior will
not be tolerated.
- Equipment and machines must be used for intended
uses only.
- Please wipe off equipment after each use.
- Please limit yourself to 30 minutes on each piece of
cardiovascular equipment at busy times.
- Standing on benches to perform lifts is not
permitted.
- Those requiring assistance should contact the
fitness assistant.
- Please remove weight plates from bars and return all
plates and dumbells to the appropriate racks after each
use.
Fitness Studios
- Please wait outside the studio for a class to end
before entering.
- Please keep studio doors closed while classes are in
session.
- Only class participants are permitted in the studios
while classes are in session.
- Class participants are asked to return equipment
used in the classes to the appropriate locations.
Walking/Running Track
- Eighteen laps around the track is the equivalent
of one mile.
- Please pass others on track with care and
caution.
- Please, no food or drink is allowed in this area
with the exception of water in a plastic bottle.
- All children under the age of 13 must be
directly supervised at all times by someone at
least 18 years of age.
- Track hours are: Monday - Thursday 5:30
am-3:30 pm, Friday 5:30 am - closing, Saturday
12noon - closing, Sunday 10:00 am - closing.
Y in the Sky
- Y in the Sky is designed for kids ages 6-12
years.
- Parents must sign children in and out of the
program.
- Parents must remain in the Family YMCAwhile their children are in Y in the Sky.
Multi-Purpose Court Areas
- Inappropriate use of Court equipment is
not permitted.
- Please no gym bags, coats, or personal
belongings in this area. Please secure
personal items in a locker room.
- Proper attire including non-marking
shoes, shorts, or sweats and shirts must be
worn at all times.
- Please no food or drink is allowed in
this area with the exception of water in a
plastic bottle.
- Scheduled courts resulting in a "no
show" without proper notice will be assessed
a court rental fee.
- Court reservations may be made up to one
week in advance.
- Non-members must pre-pay for single
court reservations.
Child Watch
- Child Watch is available for youth ages 6 weeks to 10
years.
- Members are required to show their membership card
when signing their child into Child Watch.
- Members must have a Family Membership to utilize Child
Watch. Parents who are not a member of the Family
YMCAmust show receipt of payment for a Day Pass plus
$3.00 per child per visit for Child Watch.
- Child Watch may only be utilized for a total of 3
hours per visit.
- Children must be on the family membership of the adult
that signs them into Child Watch.
- The adult (18 years or older) signing the child into
Child Watch must remain in the Family YMCAfacility
while the child is in Child Watch.
- The adult that drops the child off in Child Watch must
also be the same adult that signs the child out of Child
Watch.
- Diapers, extra change of clothes, and snacks must be
provided by the parent. All items including bags
must be labeled with child's name.
- Children must come in wearing a clean diaper and be
fed prior to a parent leaving them in Child Watch.
All bottles must be ready to feed and labeled.
Children must wear shoes while in Child Watch.
- Children with any of the following conditions may not
be brought into Child Watch if they display any of the
following symptoms: Fever, diarrhea, open sores, or
any contagious illness.
- It may take a few visits for your child to feel
comfortable staying in Child Watch. If your child is
inconsolable for longer than 15 minutes, a staff member
will reach you and you will need to come and pick up your
child.
